Scott James

I discovered my love of music at a very young age and it has defined my life ever since – singing, songwriting, composing, performing.   There is something about music that clarifies life and allows me to express my feelings in the most honest way.  It’s hard to describe, but I know my life would be empty without it.

Many people ask how I would describe my music and that’s always a tricky question for me.  John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, and Bob Dylan have been major influences, but I have my own unique style and continue to explore where the music takes me.  The highs and lows of life inspire my writing.  I want my listeners to feel like they can relate my songs to what they’re going through in their own lives.  I also have a passion for playing guitar – it’s an amazing instrument and when played can help convey so many emotions.  Given all that, I guess you could call me a singer-songwriter with pop, rock and soul influences – a bit wordy, but it’s the best I can do.  To me the genre doesn’t matter, because no matter what you call it, the music is was it is.

I hope you take the time to check out my new EP, “Saudade.”  And, of course, don’t forget to Like, Follow, Subscribe ....

Shay Seguin

Shay was born with music in his soul.  His grandfather was a violinist and his great grandmother played piano by ear.  The love of music was always apparent with him since he was an infant.  He began his music at the age of 7 with guitar.  At the age of 10 he joined School of Rock and from there he gained the experience of performing live as well as learning his craft.  He was also encouraged by Tony Avalon to take up bass playing.  At the age of 13, Shay became the bass player for Left on Bromely.  That journey lasted for 3 years.  His vocation has been influenced by many styles of music such as Jazz, The Blues, Indie Rock, Rock n Roll and artists such as Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, The Beatles, The Jimi Henrix Experience, John Mayer, Kings of Leon, Muse, Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Led Zeppelin.  Shay’s desire to excel musically as well as scholastically will be a significant element in his future success.

Christian Meissner

Christian Meissner started playing the drums at around age 9 when his dad bought him a Ludwig drum set for his birthday (He still uses the same set today).  Slowly, he tried drumming to his favorite songs and began to pick up the rhythms as he progressed into middle school. His dad, Mark, who was a professional drummer when he was younger, taught him the rudiments and exercises that he could use. Pretty soon, he was playing to Led Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, and other classic rock bands that are still a huge influence on his drumming.  His first experience with a band was at Rock N’ Roll High, which gave him a sense of band life and the friends that you can make during the experience.  Christian has been playing drums with Scott James and the band since May 2011 and finds it truly a pleasure to make such great music with such great friends.  Christian is 16 years old and currently lives in Agoura Hills, California.
